WeChat Mini Game Top 100: Only One New Title Cracked the Top 50 in

September's WeChat mini game bestseller list shows the market cooling after the summer rush. Only 23 titles entered or re-entered the Top 100, and just one new game, Call of Duty: Mobile, reached the Top 50 at No. 43. Simulation management titles took three of the Top 10 spots, while 37 Interactive Entertainment led publishers with seven entries. Tencent and Dream Dragon tied for second with five each. The September WeChat mini game bestseller list is out, and it confirms what the summer's turbulence already hinted at: the top of the market is closing up.

A Quiet September for New Entries

According to GameLook's tally of the Top 100, only 23 titles were new or returning entries in September, down from 25 percent churn in August to 23 percent — the lowest turnover in three months. Inside the Top 50, exactly one new game appeared: Call of Duty: Mobile (使命召唤手游) at No. 43. It is the fewest new Top 50 products so far in 2026. Even the highest-ranked of the other newcomers, SimCity: BuildIt (模拟城市:我是市长) and Tata Adventure Team (塔塔冒险队), landed only at No. 51 and No. 53.

The Top 10 was led by Zombie Cannon (向僵尸开炮) and Crazy Water World (疯狂水世界), which held first and second. The rest of the top tier, in order: Endless Winter (无尽冬日), Three Kingdoms: Ice Age (三国:冰河时代), My Garden World (我的花园世界), Back to the Countryside (向往的生活), Romantic Restaurant (浪漫餐厅), Spirit Painter (灵画师), Jumping Boy (跃动小子), and Dream Match (梦幻消除战). Eight of the ten were already there in August; the two newcomers had been sitting just outside at No. 11 and No. 12.

Why It Matters

Simulation management was the month's clearest winner. Three titles in that subgenre — Crazy Water World, My Garden World, and Back to the Countryside — took second, fifth, and sixth, pushing the category past tower defense, match-3, and RPG to become the strongest subgenre at the top. Casual games overall rose to six of the Top 10, up one from August.

Publishers tell a similar story of consolidation. 37 Interactive Entertainment (三七互娱) stayed No. 1 with seven titles, though one fewer than in August and none ranked higher than No. 31. Dream Dragon (大梦龙途) and Tencent (腾讯游戏) tied for second with five each. Dream Dragon had the strongest top-tier showing, holding No. 1 and placing three titles in the top 24. Tencent's gains came from Call of Duty: Mobile and the return of Yuan Meng Zhi Xing (元梦之星) at No. 90. RPG remained the most numerous subgenre with 38 entries, but only two reached the Top 10. MMO stayed weak with just three entries, all mid-table.

What to Watch Next

The key question is whether October brings any real movement. The September data suggests the Top 50 is now effectively locked by established products, and new titles are being pushed into the waist of the list. Watch whether simulation management can hold its three Top 10 seats, whether Dream Dragon can keep its grip on No. 1, and whether any publisher can break 37 Interactive Entertainment's lead. Also worth tracking: whether Call of Duty: Mobile climbs from No. 43, and whether the RPG category's numerical dominance ever translates into more top-tier positions.
